Decisions...

It is Saturday morning at 11:25 and I'm the only one awake. Kelsey and Jackie are off to work and the other two are still sleeping. I remember the days when at 11:25 we had already been awake for 5 hours. Times are changing in our house. I have created monsters by teaching them to stay up late and sleep late. We were all watching the Disney Channel at midnight last night.  :) We are just a week into summer and already in the summer mode.

I'm still trying to decide about a theme for the year. I just can't decide. I usually have decided way before now. I'm no sure where my indecisiveness is coming from this year.

Mom's Night Out

Well, tonight I went out with a friend to a dinner, movie and shopping. It was so nice and relaxing to step away for a few hours. We shopped for bathing suits and had some really good laughs trying them all on. I never try anything on but my friend made me try them all on. WOW! That was a lot of work. I usually just buy it, bring it home and wear it. We ended up spending entirely too much money but we had lots of fun. We saw the movie "Mom's Night Out". It was an amazing movie with so many laughs. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD. Yes, I did say DVD. We live too far in the country for Netflix. Crazy!

Tomorrow is a relaxing day around the house cleaning and creating!

Fun on Field Day!

Our family dog visited for part of the day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Miss you Mom!

Lobsters

The summer has officially began. We are all sunburned from enjoying the sun a little too much today. It was so nice sitting by the pool but I guess we won't be doing that for a couple more days. I have spent the past few days enjoying the girls and all the stories about boys. We have watched t.v., gone to the gym, gone to the water park, cooked several meals and desserts and now it is time to begin the planning process for next year. I'm still trying to decide about a theme. Every idea I come up with I have already done. I tend to spend more time in my classroom than my home during the school year so I get sick of a classroom theme quickly. I love to come up with new ideas and see it come together. Of course, I enjoy buying all the new stuff too.

Our family has made it another year through school. Kelsey the oldest will be a senior. (Wow, time sure does fly by so fast.) Kortney will be a sophomore. Kirsten will be in eighth grade. I can't believe my babies are growing up so fast. Some days I really miss the baby/preschool days. Having a teen driver is incredibly scary but also wonderful. Teenage girl conversations are so very amusing and I feel very blessed that my girls feel safe enough to share all their problems, dreams and concerns. I'm one happy momma.

Well I didn't do well at all on my blog this past school year but I have simplified some things in my life so I could concentrate on expanding my educational realm! I'm going to post a few pictures from this past school year. During this past year I had an amazing opportunity to teach a K/1 split. It was so much fun. My kindergarten students are going to loop up with me next year. So, I already know seven of my little munchkins well. It is going to be nice to be able to pick up right where we left off.

So, I'm trying to decide what my theme for next year should be. Any ideas???

This is just a random picture of my daughter playing volleyball. She asked the other team to pray with her team. It was so sweet to watch the two teams come together. She attends a private Christian School and we were playing a public school.
